Arnold Portocarrero was traded to the Baltimore Orioles in early 1958 where he had the best season of his short career. The Wilson game-used home flannel jersey #24 has a three-inch swatch of white felt on which is stitched in black “No 24 58” indicating the jersey number and the year of issue. The original numbers on the front have been professionally restored. Original sleeve patches frequently came apart after years of use, so even though the “Laughing Bird” patch isn’t in great condition, it adds value to the jersey. The accompanying Phil Wood LOA has a detailed description of the jersey and the player. Opening Bid $500.
