An antique treasure of great worth is unearthed with this 1912 World Series champion Boston Red Sox team real photo postcard. This seldom offered relic is an oversized edition, measuring 7-1/4" x 3-1/2”. Seen among the pictured players are Hall of Famers Tris Speaker and Harry Hooper, player-manager Jake Stahl, and ace hurler “Smoky Joe” Wood, who went 34-5 on the season. Printed on the reverse are the standard address section at right, and a 1912 World Series scoring section on the left, with New York and Boston listed. Also noted on the reverse is the credit “Copyright Technical Book Publishing Co., 519 Tribune Building." Though this scarce card is a (VG) example, it remains crisp and very attractive, belying its considerable age.
