Compared to their many years in Boston and Atlanta, the Braves stay in Milwaukee was relatively brief. In terms of ultimate successes, the 13-year period spent next to lake Michigan was impressively productive with two trips to the World Series and five second-place finishes. From early on in the 1958 National League championship season comes this Milwaukee Braves team-signed baseball. A period signed ONL/Giles model in (NM) condition, this vintage baseball hosts a considerable total of (32) autographs, including Hall of Fame legends Hank Aaron, Eddie Mathews, Warren Spahn, "Red" Schoendienst, and Billy Herman. The presence of Don Kaiser and Bob Hazle suggests this ball was signed early in the '58 season, possibly during Spring Training. Signature strength averages ("7"-"8") with:

Sweet spot: Billy Herman (HOF, coach) and Fred Haney (manager);

North panel: Andy Pafko, Humberto Robinson, "Red" Schoendienst (HOF), Del Crandall, Joe Adcock, Mel Roach, Frank Torre and Joey Jay;

South panel: Bob Rush, Bob Trowbridge, Hank Aaron (HOF), Johnny Logan, Eddie Mathews (HOF), Ernie Johnson and Del Rice;

East panel: George Susce (coach), Whit Wyatt (coach), Wes Covington, Don Kaiser (sent to minors), Carl Wiley and Bob Hazle (traded in May);

West panel: Gene Conley, Eddie Haas, Lew Burdette, Warren Spahn (HOF), Felix Mantilla, Don McMahon, Carl Sawatski and Dick Littlefield;

Reverse sweet spot: John Fitzpatrick (coach).
