Here's a little something from "Papa Bear" that's just right. Born and raised in Chicago, George Halas put down some seriously deep football roots there, as a player, coach and executive with the Chicago Bears. Halas' reign over the Bears franchise began with the NFL's inception in 1920, and continued for a mind-blowing 64 years, right up until his demise in 1983. Halas has provided a pleasing ("9") strength autograph, on the offered Pro! program front cover dated 11/2/75. The longtime Bears owner has thoughtfully located this autograph on the silver background area at top, near a caption that reads "George Halas at Age 80, Papa Bear Has Been a Part of All of the NFL's 56 Years". Auction LOA from James Spence/JSA.
