Leroy Neiman remains one of the most successful and revered contemporary illustrators. His brilliant, semi-abstract images are easily distinguishable and this piece is no exception. The Polo Lounge print features an array of celebrities from the good ol’ days, including Hepburn, Bogart, Cooper, Taylor, Gable, Brando, Monroe, Grant, Davis Jr., Martin, Carson, Ball, Astaire and even Neiman himself amongst others. Framed and matted to a total size of 43x21 with a visible image of 23x9 the print features a vibrant background with detailed black and white renderings of the aforementioned stars. The bottom right of the print also bears the signature of Neiman which grades a strong (“5”). A simply jaw-dropping piece of art waiting to adorn any collection.
