A trio of prized autographs arrives, with this 1948 Brooklyn Dodgers autograph display. Measuring 16-1/2 x 12", this stately matted display features a block of six George Washington 1-cent postage stamps, period signed by (3) members of the 1948 Dodgers team, with: Roy Campanella (HOF, d.1993), "Arky" Vaughan (HOF, d.1952), and Jake Pitler (coach, d.1968). All (3) of these tough autographs have been applied in pencil, and they average ("8-9") strength. 1948 was Campanella's rookie season, and it was also Vaughan's last season with the Dodgers, making it the only year this trio of signers was together. Located in a brass framed inset, the signed block of stamps is displayed with black and white photos, and trimmed Hall of Fame plaque postcards of Campanella and Vaughan, and all elements present handsomely.
