Baseball's most enduring manager comes into view, with this Connie Mack autograph cut. A thinking man's catcher through eleven MLB seasons, Mack (d.1956) became manager and owner of the Philadelphia Athletics in 1901. During his fifty seasons at the A's helm, he fielded several dynasties, and was a 5X World Series winner. The "Tall Tactician" made it a point to comport himself with style and dignity, and the offered autograph is true to Mack's exacting standards, in being a distinctive application. Measuring 2-3/4 x 1-1/2", the cut was obviously clipped from a handwritten letter. Applied by means of a fountain pen with the sign off "Sincerely yours", Mack's black ink signature shows a ("7.5") degree of potency. Full LOA from James Spence/JSA.
