Lot Description  

A pre-war “twin killing” is available with the offered 1941 Double Play partial set of (41/75) cards. This mixed grade assembly generally averages (VG) condition with 15-20% displaying staple marks, tape and/or writing. Keys include: #11/#12 Lombardi (VG-EX), #15/#16 P. Waner (VG), #33/34 Vaughan (FR), #39 Mize/#40 Slaughter (FR), #53/#54 Gehringer (VG-EX), #63 J. DiMaggio/64 (PR, writing), #67 Gordon/#68 Ruffing (EX), #81 T. Williams/#82 Cronin (PR, staple marks), #83 Gordon/84 (VG), #85 Greenberg/86 (PR, staple marks), #99 Mize/100 (PR, tape), 139/#140 Hubbell (PR, staple marks) and 141/#142 Durocher (VG-EX).
