"The game's afoot", with this antique piece of stationery signed by prolific author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. An early contributor to the science fiction and fantasy genres, Doyle is best known as the creator of super-sleuth Sherlock Holmes. Printed at top with "Telegrams: Crowsborough, Nat. Tel. No. 77", and "Windlesham, Crowsborough, Sussex", this sheet comes from Doyle's final residence, which he inhabited from 1907, until his demise in 1930. Doyle has neatly signed this 5x7 page with ("9-10") strength, by means of a black steel-tip fountain pen, and he has included the salutation "Yours very truly". Full LOA from James Spence/JSA.
