When the current Washington Commanders team was founded in 1932 as the Boston Braves, tackle "Turk" Edwards (d.1973) was there. He was there in 1933, when the team rebranded as the Boston Redskins, and he went along for the ride when the franchise moved south to Washington DC in 1937. Edwards was still going strong in 1937, when rookie quarterback "Slingin' Sammy" Baugh led the Redskins to their first NFL championship, and when he hung up his spikes in 1940, he spent most of the next decade as first an assistant coach, and then head coach for the 'Skins. Double down on this long-deceased Hall of Famer, with these (2) Edwards signed index cards. One of these vintage autographs shows 8-9 strength on an unlined card, which includes a personalization. Applied on the lined signed of a card, the other autograph registers as an 8 strength example. Auction LOA from James Spence/JSA. Opening Bid $250.
