To say the Notre Dame football program has a glorious history is a big understatement. Over the years, ND has matriculated all-time greats Knute Rockne, “The Gipper”, “The Four Horsemen”, “The Comeback Kid”, and many more memorable players and coaches. Not to be overshadowed, is the tenure of head coach Frank Leahy, who directed the Fighting Irish to four national championships during the 1940s.

The ‘40s also saw ND produce three Heisman trophy winners, and in 1946 the Irish took on the mighty Army squad in “The Game of the Century” on 11/9/46, with the result a 0-0 tie. All this and more is recalled with this thrilling program collection, which ranges in condition as 60% Ex to Ex-Mt, 40% Gd to Vg-Ex, with approximately half of those falling in the lesser end of the range having tape repairs, and/or stickers added.
