Just in time for this year's holiday season, the "Ghost of Christmas Past" brings us this New York Yankees 1955 Christmas tankard. Originally gifted by Yankees team owners Del Webb and Dan Topping, this cheery beer drinking vessel is hallmarked "Craftsman Pewter Sheffield" on the rim of the glass-bottom. Also marked "Made in England", this tankard stands 5" tall, with a base diameter of 4-1/2". A heavily toned Yankees logo medallion located on the front, attests to the considerable age of this Yuletide treasure. Engraved below the famous top hat and bat logo, is the legend "Christmas 1955". Though light to moderate wear is noted, this polished pewter tankard presents handsomely. While the Yankees lost the 1955 World Series to their crosstown rivals, the Brooklyn Dodgers, they were far and away the best team of the decade, with 6 wins in 8 Fall Classic appearances over the decade.

Opening Bid $150.
