The whole point of the Boston Braves signing “Babe” Ruth for the 1935 season, was to benefit from his larger-than-life presence. Naturally, the Braves wanted to give Ruth as much exposure as possible. Here we see Ruth in several photos, spread throughout the offered 1935 Boston Braves "Batter Up!" guide. Light foxing dots the borders of the front and back covers, otherwise this ancient publication is a solid example, worthy of an (EX+) designation. The red color on both the front and back is vibrant, and the graphics and lettering are sharp. Ruth is seen in four photographs, including a batting pose in a Boston American newspaper ad, a portrait and a batting pose in a two-page feature, and a photo in street clothes, signing baseballs.
