In 1938, the New York Yankees became the first team to win three consecutive World Series championships. It was Joe DiMaggio's third full season, and Lou Gehrig's last. Blessed with a supremely talented roster and coaching staff, the Yankees cruised to a 99-53 record, finishing 9-1/2 games in front of the second place Boston Red Sox. Though the Washington Senators finished in the middle of the pack, they too boasted some serious talent.

Reap a healthy crop of of Hall of Famer and star autographs, with this 1938 Yankees and Senators multi-signed baseball. This shellacked, period signed OAL/Harridge baseball is spotted with small surface abrasions that affect all of the (19) signatures, which were applied in black ink, by means of a steel-tip fountain pen. Though portions of the autographs remain fairly bold, variable fading and the abrasions have reduced their integrity to ("4" to "6") strength examples. Despite these conditions, all of the signatures remain recognizable, and the ball presents a great look of period authenticity. Full LOA from James Spence/JSA.
