Attendance at the 1929 World Series was dotted with prominent Major Leaguers, who along with members of the participating Philadelphia A's and Chicago Cubs teams, have contributed autographs to this multi-signed baseball. An antique OAL/Johnson ball, this period signed sphere presents in (VG) condition, with visible Reach factory labeling stamps. The autograph count numbers (24) in total, however (6) signatures are too faint to determine their authors. The (18) identified autographs range ("2" to "7") in strength, on panels that bear varying degrees of surface wear, with the north and south panels being fairly easy to read, while the east and west panels present more of a challenge. All of the signers have departed for the "Field of Dreams", with a good number having passed fifty or more years ago. Highlights are Hall of Famers: Jimmie Foxx, "Lefty" Grove, Jesse Haines, George Kelly, and Jim Bottomley. Full photo LOA from JSA.
