Keepers of the flame get fired up with this Olympic Torch from the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Games. From the cauldron in Athens, to the arena in Salt Lake City, more than 12,000 torchbearers relayed the Olympic Flame across 13,500 miles, more than half of the circumference of the Earth, to commence the Games in keeping with a rich tradition.

A prestigious prize for collectors, this 2002 Winter Games torch signifies "fire and ice", with a glass bulb topper housing a copper element, a slightly curved, matte finish icicle shaft, and a polished handle. The three-pronged copper flame has the Game's number "XIX" cutout on each prong and a white metal ring circling the prongs proclaims "Winter Olympic Games Salt Lake City 2002", with two sets of Olympic Rings interspersed between the lettering. Set amid the icicle section, is the legend "Salt Lake 2002" in relief lettering, along with the Olympic Rings logo, and etched into the polished handle is the inspirational motto "Light the Fire Within".

Measuring 33" from top to bottom, this official Olympic Torch shows light traces of wear, mainly on the handle section, however display appeal of this magnificent memento is off the charts, and with the glass flame topper intact, this is a choice example destined for prominent display, and great pride of ownership.
