The greatest rivalry in the history of prize fighting is spotlighted, with this Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier dual-signed pennant. A 3/4-size example measuring 25x8, this championship bout flag is a dynamic presentation with a crown hovering over photos of the combatants at the wide end, and the location "Madison Square Garden Center" and the date "March 8, 1971" are printed at the pointed end. At center is the legend "World's Heavyweight Championship Fight", with slight fading on a few of the letters. Moderate wear is noted at the point, otherwise this bright, clean pennant presents in (EX-MT) condition. Each of the Hall of Fame champions has signed near his corresponding photo, with Ali's signature registering as a ("7") strength example, while Frazier's signature rates as ("8-9"). This first meeting of these forever linked legends, saw Frazier earn a very hard fought victory, though Ali proved his greatness with wins over the fierce fighter from Philadelphia in their two later bouts.
