Lay in a solid foundation towards assembling this important series, with this partial set of (191/288). These gruesome cards depict the carnage of battle with gory illustrations that are hard to believe were targeted at children back in the late 1930s. Condition is generally decent, with a range of (10% VG to VG-EX, 80% FR to GD, 10% lesser). While the bulk of this group are low number cards numbered between 2-191, there are (31) semi-high and high numbers, including (1) key card: #276 (GD+). Surprisingly many of the better examples in this collection are found among the cards numbered between 193-276.
