Page 16 from the 1989 Action Comics issue #647. This is the title that introduced Earthlings to Superman way back in 1938, and it is one of the most collected of all titles ever, in any galaxy, anywhere in the collecting universe. The work of master comic creators Kerry Gammill and Brett Breeding, this piece is signed by both Gammill and Breeding (average "9") on the border of the artwork board at bottom right. Overlaid is a plastic pane marked "Hold 100% Blue" at the point over Gammill's signature. This pane hosts three elements that correspond to boxes outlined in red on the art board. Editorial notations on the margins provide excellent authentic provenance, and all in all this piece radiates display appeal.
Page 5 from the 2011 issue of Life with Archie: The Married Life. Created by the great Norm Breyfogle, this page sees Betty lecturing Reggie in a scene from the story The Trial of Reggie Mantle, Part 1. This crisp board shows bold graphics against a bright white background, and also bears authentic identification entries on the top border. Breyfogle (d.2018) has signed stylishly on the bottom border with ("9") potency.
