Saddle up for the offered 1968 Nolan Ryan "four horsemen" PSA graded rookie collection of four different cards! Offered as a set for the first time, the recently coined "four horsemen" moniker designates the completion of all four Nolan Ryan rookie cards including the two American versions along with the incredibly tough Canadian and South American parallels. This visually impressive quartet includes the following: 1.) 1968 Topps #177 (PSA VG-EX 4); 2.) 1968 Topps Milton Bradley #177 (PSA EX-MT 6, st); 3.) 1968 O-Pee-Chee #177 (PSA NM 7, oc) and 4.) 1968 Topps Venezuelan (PSA Poor 1).
Of particular note, only (37) 1968 Topps Venezuelan #177 Ryan rookies have been evaluated by the major authenticators, meaning there are only scant opportunities for Ryan collectors to secure all four variations. Such cards of the South American version are quite rare and typically found with acute wear and reverse paper loss/residue or writing. This example is absent of any of the latter condition detractors. Additionally, the 1968 O-Pee-Chee #177 Ryan has a confirmed population report of only 2% of the mainstream American issue. Finally, the Milton Bradley parallel from the "Win A Card" board game survives at only 3% of the Topps product. This combination of foreign and domestic Ryan cards represents a standard of collecting achievement and excellence!
