The A's bested the mighty Yanks 16-3 as Mickey Cochrane hit for the cycle for the second time in his career. First came a home run to right, then a triple (unsuccessfully stretched into an inside-the-park homer), next a single, and finally the double. Black Mike was 4-for-4 on the day with 3 runs, 4 RBIs and 2 walks. Interestingly, teammates Pinky Higgins and Jimmie Foxx also hit for the cycle within a fortnight. But we digress.

The most important fact of this pencil-scored scorecard (13x10, removed from a program) is of course that it's autographed by none other than the Sultan of Swat! Ruth's pencil "9" signature is a beauty located (upside down) beneath the Yankees' scoring grid, which notes his 3 walks in the game. VG condition except for small clear strips of tape shoring up the reverse of the center fold line. Full LOA from JSA. Accompanied by the corresponding game stub encapsulated as VG 3 by PSA/DNA.
