Graded 88 NM-MT 8 by SGC. Legend holds that the offered 1910 E98 Anonymous Hal Chase with a red background was one of nearly 700 cards from the designation discovered by a Defiance, Ohio family in 2012. Resting untouched for over a century, these pristine specimens were discovered in an attic box. Each card stack was tightly secured by antique twine and had entirely escaped the harsh Midwestern elements. Considerable national media attention was attached to the story as various outlets reported details of the remarkable find. This example of "Prince Hal" showcases virtually untouched corners, bright white edges and relatively accurate centering. Exhibits flawless surface registration and an unmarked checklist reverse.
