Also-rans for the better part of the first four decades of the 20th century, the Brooklyn Dodgers had failed in their first two World Series appearances (first as the "Robins" and later, as the "Dodgers" just prior to World War II) before hitting their stride to reel off 13 successive winning seasons and six pennants over a 10-year stretch. Paying homage to the first of those flags, Dieges & Clust crafted this 1947 Brooklyn Dodgers World Series press pin. Measuring 1"-diameter, the gold-plated relic features a relief likeness of Ebbets Field, as well as a diagonally placed baseball bat. Lining the circumference, a printed legend proclaims "WORLD SERIES PRESS 1947." With vibrant colors and the threaded post/nut intact, this one is a gorgeous Flatbush survivor!
