Winners of at least 100 games for the last time in franchise history (until the recently completed 2018 season, that is), the 1946 Boston Red Sox returned to the postseason for the first time since their infamous sale of Babe Ruth. Beaming with pride, Boston Globe scribe Jerry Nason authored this souvenir program detailing the construction and progress of that champion roster. Published by the Boston Globe, the 32-page guide features chronological text, photos and illustrations. Included is an 18 x 16-1/2 team composite photo insert. The book presents nicely with covers and crisp pages intact. The photo insert remains (NM)! Included, as well, is a ticket stub issued at Game 3 of the 1946 World Series. The voucher features printed seating/event details, as well as the facsimile signature of team president Thomas Yawkey. The ticket presents (VG-EX) and hails from a 4-0 BoSox triumph in which Dave Ferris earned the mound win. Ferris is the cover subject of the aforementioned program.
