Set your foundation toward building a complete set of 1952 Berk Ross baseball with this starter set of (40/72). Standing in the shadow of hobby giants Topps and Bowman, the short-lived Berk Ross series had a shelf life of just two years way back in 1951 and 1952. The fact that the New York-centric BR cards were unlicensed led to the brief run and regional distribution limited availability, keeping these cards out of the hands of many period collectors. The 1952 set is considered the tougher of the two years and the small set size assured a high concentration of HOFers and stars. This group of (40) all different cards shows a respectable grade range (FR to VG-EX) with the great majority being GD to VG.
The list of included cards is: HOFers: Richie Ashburn, Roy Campanella, Larry Doby, Bobby Doerr, Monte Irvin, Bob Lemon, Willie Mays, Johnny Mize, Stan Musial, Phil Rizzuto batting pose, Phil Rizzuto bunting pose, “Red” Schoendienst; and Stars: Hank Bauer, Chico Carrasquel, Del Ennis, Clint Hartung, Jim Heard, Larry Jensen, Sheldon Jones (small hole), Monte Kennedy, Bob Kuzava, Eddie Lopat, Sal Maglie, Billy Martin, Gil McDougald, Tom Morgan, Ray Noble, Joe Ostrowski, Vic Raschi, Allie Reynolds, Bill Rigney, “Preacher” Roe, Johnny Sain, George Spencer, Eddie Stanky, Henry Thompson, Vic Wertz, Waldon Westlake, Gene Woodling, Gus Zernial
