The 25th member of the esteemed 500 Home Run Club, former slugger Gary Sheffield was (unbeknownst to many) the author of a National League batting title, as well. These (12) autographed “Rawlings-Adirondack” black-ring bats commemorate that 1992 feat that saw 33 homers and 100 RBI mixed into Sheffield’s league-best .330 mark. Each 34-1/4” weapon features a black lacquer plate with an engraved legend reading: “GARY SHEFFIELD – SAN DIEGO PADRES – 1992 – N.L. BATTING CHAMPION - .330 AVG. 33 HR 100 RBI’s” and has a limited edition number in a series of (/100). Between the manufacturer’s trademark and commemorative plate on each, Sheffield has signed in blue Sharpie. The scriptings average (“9”) strength and clarity and carry nice “break” value. Individual certs/stickers from JSA for (11) of the bats (one has a JSA auction LOA).
