Often obscured in the shadows of more dramatic Fall Classic installments, the 1966 Baltimore Orioles triumph was far and away the most convincing pitching effort in World Series play. Yielding just two runs in four games, the Birds prompted the manufacture of these (14) souvenirs. The vintage relics are headlined by: Pennant: a full-size blue felt banner (MT) listed as “Rare” in Mark Egner’s 2013 Vintage Pennant Price Guide II; National Bohemian Tray: 14x9 plastic dish with color team photo and printed identifiers. More on our website.

Additional items include:

Ceramic Ash Tray: an off-shaped bowl (approximately 9 x 8-1’4”) with a white center on which names of the Orioles players are listed around a raised glove/bat/baseball design. The edges are orange and the cigarette slots are black.

Bottle Opener: a 9-1/2” wooden mini-bat with a metallic bottle opener affixed to the end. An Orioles/1966 World Series decal is affixed to the barrel with “ABC/WJZ-TV 13” stampings just to the right.

Straw Hat: a brimmed accessory with an orange felt ribbon reading “Charge!!! World Series ‘66” lining the crown and a team logo stapled to the front center.

Chrysler Serving Tray: a 12-1/4”-diameter metal tray with “1966 WORLD SERIES – BALTIMORE VS. LOS ANGELES” engraved in the center (tray shows excessive use with oxidation and a small indentation)

Chrysler Ash Tray: an 8-3/4 x 6-3/4” glass container with “1966 WORLD SERIES” and the combatants’ names flanking a baseball likeness. Presents nicely with minor flaking along the edge gilding.

Coaster: a 5-1/2”-diameter stainless steel conclave holder with an Orioles logo at the center and a corked underside.

Game 4 Ticket Stub: issued at Memorial Stadium, the “Lower Reserved” voucher presents (VG) with sharp edges and vibrant colors.

Lighter: a metallic flip-top lighter with a team logo on the facing, “WORLD CHAMPIONS 1966” engraved on the hinged lid and the address of a local saloon on the reverse.

(4) Pinbacks: includes a 6”-diameter team photo pin with a cardboard easel backing; a 3-1/2”-diameter pin with black-and-orange ribbon hangers; a 2-1/4”-diameter pin with purple-and-white ribbon hangers; and a 1-3/4”-diameter Memorial Stadium-issued pin with printed home dates (one of which proved unnecessary).

Note: the (MT) pennant is absolutely stunning with 100% applique, no pinholes and original spine/tassels intact. The National Beer team photo tray presents beautifully with remnants of an adhesive agent confined to the reverse (likely from previous display).
