Long-since departed in the wake of financial woes, the Clippers of the 1960s were as much a part of the Baltimore sports scene as the Orioles and Colts were. Set apart by an enamored and strictly local fan base and a team “fight song” composed by a classically trained Peabody student, the now-defunct American Hockey League’s Charm City representative has only a scant few reminders of those raucous crowds and fast-paced action at the Baltimore Civic Center. This 1960s Baltimore Clippers game-worn home sweater is one such artifact! The thick black dureen pullover garment features twill identifiers and proper "Stall & Dean" tagging. Absolutely incredible game wear is evident. But that’s only fitting for ice hockey apparel from blue-collar Bal’mer! More on our website.

The item features “CLIPPERS” angled across the chest in orange-on-white twill, “7” sewn to the back in like fashion and to the sleeves in white-on-black twill. The rear tail’s interior is home to a vintage “Stall & Dean” size “50” label. Orange and white striped accents line the lower torso and upper sleeve portions. The tried and true original eyelets reside at the base of a black stretch ribbed cotton collar. Outstanding wear is evident in the form of color fading (especially about the twill components) and puckering (again, on the twill elements). But the real aesthetic appeal lies in evidence of punishing game play. Multiple team repairs are found on the front, the shoulders and the elbows.
