Since retired and inducted into the most recent Basketball Hall of Fame class, both Alonzo Mourning and Gary Payton wore and autographed these shoes as they closed out celebrated NBA careers with the Miami Heat. Alonzo Mourning Signed Game-Worn Shoes: black leather “Nike Air” size “18.5” accessories with a Nike “Swoosh” logo on the outer side of each (in white with yellow embroidery) and “33” embroidered to the heel of each in the same color scheme. Mourning has signed in the outer side of each in silver marker (both “9-10” strength ) and inscribed “#33.” Moderate wear is evident with hardwood “paint” transfers on the rubberized soles. Mourning wore these during one of his tours of duty (either 1995-96 – 2001-02 or 2004-05 - 2007-08) with the Miami Heat.
Gary Payton Signed Game-Worn 2005-06 – 2006-07 Shoes: black leather “Nike Zoom Air” size “16” footwear items with red plastic accents and zippered dazzle cloth coverings. In red with yellow embroidery, a Nike “Swoosh” logo accents the covering of each. On the red rubber inner toe portion of each, Payton has signed in black marker (both “10” strength). Moderate use is evident with wear about the rubberized soles.
Both pairs were obtained by a Washington Wizards game day employee.
