The offered Cleveland Browns NFL player’s contract signed, sealed and delivered Paul Wiggin for the 1959 season. This double-sided yellow legal document measures nearly 19-1/2 x 8” when unfolded and paid the former All-Pro and Stanford grad a tidy sum of $9,500 for the season. The reverse is penned by Wiggin and his wife in green ink and further signed by team executive Paul Brown, Commissioner Bert Bell and club official O’Toole. The endorsements are executed with (“9”) precision. Interestingly, this contract was signed less than three months prior to Bell’s death in October 1959. The signatures have not undergone third-party authentication.
