Jack Dunn's backstop was in fact named Arthur "Ben" Egan and is noteworthy as Babe Ruth's first professional catcher. Although this "Charm City" masterpiece displays a combination of acute wear on front (including pin holes), the wear is largely apart from Egan's batting pose. Additionally, the 1910 Orioles Home/Abroad ledger on the back is only moderately soiled but still displays pitch black typeface.
